Week Notes - W19
This is going to be my first week notes. I have seen Joel doing these for a long time now, and have previously wanted to do them, but now I have decided to.
Big Things
This week I did a whole host of things, here’s the biggest and my favourite bits.
- This week I finished The Complete Robot and started reading The Caves of Steel. I loved reading all Asimov’s short stories on robots. Now to finish the whole robots series. I do feel that I need to plan what books I’m going to read next so that when it comes to changing books in the future, I haven’t got to think too much about which of my hundreds of books to read I’m going to move onto.
- I started playing around with BSPWM this week on my Arch laptop (I Use Arch BTW!). Got a nice setup between BSPWM, SXHKD, Polybar and Dunst. This has been to play around with, my longest WM love was BSPWM and I believe it always will be (on the XOrg side anyway).
- Another highlight of the week was starting work on a new website hand written from scratch in HTML using the Readable.css stylesheet. The idea is a nice simple website to host my blog, writing blosts in markdown and using a bash script to convert it to HTML which I can then copy and paste into a template HTML file. I’m looking forward to where I can get this project to go.
Watching
This week, I watched a whole load of The Big Bang Theory (there’s a surprise). I also have been watching quite a few YouTube videos which has been fun to catch up on old videos that I haven’t gotten around to reading.
Reading
At the very beginning of the week, I finished reading The Complete Robot by Isaac Asimov, then moving onto The Caves of Steel, also by Isaac Asimov. I have so far (at the time of writing this) read 25 pages. I’m really into it thus far.
I hope you enjoyed this one, have a good one. I hope to have a couple more blosts out soon.
